It is hardware from a surgery during which they removed the disk between the vertebrae and replaced it with an artificial disk, which is what you see in the x-ray. Spray Paint cans are made of metal, and as we all know, X-rays cannot penetrate metal. So the can wouldn't be transparent at all. The ammo one, well, probably it is real.
