South Korean Grandmother Fails Driving Test 771 Times

A South Korean grandmother has failed her driving test 771 times, police say, but a local newspaper reports she will keep trying.

The 68-year-old, identified only by her last name Cha, has taken the test almost every working day since 2005 in the southwestern city of Jeonju. She failed again on Monday for the 771st time.

“It was a record-breaking number here,” Choi Yong-Cheol, a police sergeant supervising the test in the city’s Deokjingu district, told AFP.

“I wonder if she will try it again for a 772nd time.”

London gym offers midgets as human weights instead of dumbbells

A GYM in London has replaced its dumbbells with human weights – including dwarves who shout encouragement to motivate exercise.

Gymbox at Bank – in the centre of the capital’s financial district – introduced its bizarre fitness regime with human weights ranging from a 155kg man to a 30kg female.

The human dumbbells wear black leotards with their weights printed across their chests and sit on adapted machines to let the weightlifter visualise what they are lifting.

Student Arrested For Intentionally ‘Breaking Wind’

A student at a Florida school has been arrested after authorities say he was “passing gas” and turned off his classmates’ computers.

According to a report released Friday by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, the 13-year-old boy “continually disrupted his classroom environment” by intentionally breaking wind. He then shut off some computers other students were using.

The Spectrum Junior-Senior High School was arrested Nov. 4.

Michael Alfinez, 18, from Lake Worth, Florida, was jailed for 18 months after he admitted to abusing the elderly and various firearms charges.

He was arrested in April after police examined footage from his video camera during a routine traffic stop.

The footage showed Marie Huertas, 85, wearing a full black balaclava and, after repeated instructions, uttering a number of gangsta rap phrases that included expletives.

52 Cows Struck by Lightning

Uruguay — Lightning struck only once – but 52 cows are dead at an Uruguayan ranch. The newspaper El Pais reports that the cows had pressed against a wire fence during a storm when the lightning bolt struck in the northern state of San Jose.

A photograph released by the San Jose Police Department shows the black and brown cows lying dead in a long row.

The newspaper said Friday that veterinarians at the scene confirmed the cause of the deaths, which happened Wednesday. The veterinarians told the newspaper that cows often crowd around fences to seek protection during storms.

A Chinese martial arts enthusiast says he can blow out candles with only his eyes.

Wearing specially made goggles, Ling Chunjiang, 35, of Kaifeng, blows air from his eyes through a hose and can put out 12 candles in one minute.

Some people seriously need to get a life. What is the point of doing this? Get in the Guinness World Records? Get on the news? Will this lead to some new job?

99 year old virgin up for grabs!

HOLLYWOOD may have made a movie about a 40-year-old virgin, but one Sydney resident beats his title by nearly six decades.

Despite several marriage proposals throughout her lifetime Maria Caterina Reitano – who turns 100 in January – is extremely proud of the fact she has never made love to a man.

Known to all as Aunty Cathy, Ms Reitano lives at Lady of Grace nursing home in Dural.

“When I was younger I thought I may have been missing out but then a few men came along when I was older and I said no,” she said.

Ms Reitano came close to marrying her first love Giovanni in her late teens but when she turned up at the church in her best dress he didn’t like it so she sent him packing.

Woman gets on wrong bus, and gets lost for 25 years…

BANGKOK — A woman who boarded the wrong bus on an attempted shopping trip from Thailand to Malaysia has returned home after 25 years.

Jaeyana Beuraheng told her eight children she accidentally boarded a bus bound for Bangkok instead of Malaysia, and once there she boarded a second incorrect bus because she could not read or speak Thai or English, The Times of London reported Wednesday.

The woman said she spent five years begging on the street in the city and was often mistaken for a member of a hill tribe because of her dark skin tone.

She was arrested in 1987 on suspicion of being an illegal immigrant and was sent to a social services hostel when authorities were unable to determine her origins.

However, last month, three students from her home village arrived at the hostel for training, and they were able to communicate with Beuraheng and help her find her way home.

Man arrested for sex with a car wash vacuum

Michigan, US — Police say a Michigan man has been arrested after “receiving sexual favors from a vacuum” at a car wash.

The Saginaw News reports the 29-year-old Swan Creek Township man was arrested Thursday in Saginaw County’s Thomas Township, about 90 miles northwest of Detroit.

Police Sgt. Gary Breidinger says a resident called to report suspicious activity at the car wash about 6:45 a.m. An officer approached on foot and caught the man in the act.

Man Hurt Badly While Mooning Cars

A Nelson man who police said mooned other vehicles while car surfing has been badly injured after falling from the car’s roof.

Kane Heal, 22, was in Christchurch Hospital’s intensive care unit today after the accident in North Canterbury on Saturday morning.

Senior Constable Chris Hughey of Hanmer Springs police told the Nelson Mail Mr Heal had his trousers down and was mooning other vehicles from the car’s roof when he fell off at a speed of at least 80km/h.

He said Mr Heal required facial surgery after sliding 20m face-first along State Highway 7 about 10km north of the Hanmer Springs turnoff.

Man Tries to Pay For McDonald’s Meal With Marijuana

Vero Beach, Florida. – A McDonald’s cashier called 911 after a Vero Beach drive-thru customer allegedly offered to pay for his meal with marijuana. The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office said the cashier called Monday with a description of the vehicle the suspect had been riding in.

A deputy spotted the vehicle, found marijuana in the car and arrested its occupant, 27-year-old Shawn Alexander Pannullo.

Pannullo was charged with possession of cannabis and posted $500 bail.

A Sheriff’s report did not say what the suspect ordered at McDonald’s or if he ultimately purchased the meal using something other than marijuana.
